I can't deny the fact that I am a fan of Fleur de Force. I started watching her Youtube way back in the day before she even got married or engaged. So, obviously I was super happy for her when I discovered that Fleur had come out with her own makeup line. I had been meaning to try them but there was a few things that put me off buying them myself (I will get on to that later). Until I was given them to try.
The packaging for Fleur De Force Lip Gloss is not too bad in my opinion. The metallic handle reminds me a little of Urban Decay's lipstick gunmetal packaging. It is not bad for the price but seeing as I know that Fleur is definitely more of a High-End girl, I don't feel like her line reflects that all. It seems that the packaging is aiming at the same market target as Zoella Beauty's line; the teenage girls. The cheapness of the lip gloss or the cheap packaging do not represent the product itself.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Fleur's first makeup line. The lip gloss itself is not at all sticky. It feels creamy on my lips and gives quite an opaque payoff, not something that I expected from a lip gloss. Fleur might as well called it a moisturising liquid lipstick because damnnnn, that lip gloss is awesome. It doesn't make my lips feel dry or flaky and I can wear it all day long. I have actually been using them everyday for work as they do last a good 3-4 hours on me without eating. Both of the shades that I received were gorgeous.
Written in the Stars is your typical your lips but better shade; mauvy nude pink. I wear this more than my any other lipstick now, which is saying something because I have so many. I can imagine this shade being the fail safe shade that would look good on everyone. So, if you are thinking about trying out Fleur De Force Lip Gloss. I would suggest you adding this one to your basket.
Starry Starry Night is bright magenta. I was slightly scared of trying this shade when I first received it, mainly because I was just so over my bright lipstick phase. However, I thought "what the heck, I need to try this so I can review it". So I decided to wear it to work... Yes, it is bright but it is not in your face bright. You can even use it like the Asian gradient lips effect (brighter colour in the middle and feathering out).
I don't know what more I can say about Fleur De Force Lip Gloss apart from the fact that omg it's amazing!!! It's creamy, opaque, moisturising and feels really light on your lips. Fleur, you nailed it! Please bring out many more shades in the future.
Should we really talk about the packaging again? It's crap and I hate it. I feel like the corners of this quad are way too sharp and it really reminded me of cheap Rimmel quad that I used to buy when I was younger. However, seeing as this is Fleur's first line, I am hoping that she will continue to improve her packaging the more she sold.
Again, I didn't expect much from the eyeshadow quad because of the cheap packaging. I mean, I wouldn't have bought this myself... Then Fleur surprises me yet again because the eyeshadow itself is not bad! The colour payoff is pretty good. All the shades are nice and work well together. I think this would be a cute little quad for someone who just started wearing makeup. I would have been super happy with this kind of quality of product when I was younger.
I normally use the 3 lighter shades for everyday and the darker shade is great for adding the extra drama for night look. I find that without using primer, the eyeshadow stays put quite well, it does not crease or budge anywhere. Top quality product for minimal price.
Fleur De Force Cosmetic Bag - £8.99Here is something that I would have bought myself because I just thought that the watercolour print and the rose gold detailing are really cute. The cosmetic bag also detaches from the side so you can fit more makeup in which is always a plus from a beauty blogger. I currently keep all of my spare makeup in this bag because it is so spacious! The bag itself is really sturdy and seems easy to keep clean as it has leather-like material.
Overall, I am really impressed with Fleur De Force Beauty as I loved everything that I've tried and now I would even consider buying them myself for me and for my friends. I would highly recommend you trying them out if you haven't already. Just goes to show that sometimes you really can't judge a product by its packaging. Fleur De Force Beauty is now 3 for 2 on feelunique.com.
Have you tried Fleur's products yet? What do you think?
