Serum is one of those skincare thing that I haven't really thought much about until I got into the whole big skincare routine. I have very dry skin so using serum in my skincare routine does make a lot of difference as it provides extra hydration (the serum locks in hydration with its Hyaluronic Acid).

Although, my skin doesn't really have massive problems anyway (apart from dry patches here and there) but I love how this serum also provides protection from environmental damages. However, I can't really provide review on how it'd perform on people with problem skin but I did make my friend who has sensitive/oily/everything is wrong with me skin try it and well, she didn't rate it much.

I have been testing this serum out for over six months and I have used it religiously every night before applying my moisturiser. Visually, I do think that my skin looks slightly brighter and my skin does feel softer to touch. However, at 22 I'm not sure whether this serum is supposed to make a massive difference to how my skin looks but I have been told by the sale assistant that this serum is great for people of all ethnicities and it's supposedly will pay off when I get older as my wrinkles will be less visible compared to people who haven't been using the serum (but I feel like that might have something to do with lifestyle, diet as well as genetic).

Even though, I have never tried Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair  Synchronized Recovery Complex version 1 so I can't compare them together but I can say that version 2 has a very light consistency, it sinks into my skin very quickly and it doesn't feel at all tacky. It left my skin feeling soft, smooth, hydrated and brighter looking. ANR2 is different from the original in that it 's supposed to repair as well purify which I like because I've noticed that my skin has been looking more radiant since I've started using it.

Personally, I do like this serum because it doesn't cause me any skin problems and it does make a little bit of a difference to how my skin look. However, it's not big enough of a difference for me to repurchase it again at this age. Having said that I will probably purchase it again when I'm about 27 as I think it might make more a difference then.

Would I recommend this? Maybe, if you have a bit of money to spend and if worry about skin hydration and purification. However, be warned that you might not see a big difference straightaway, so some people might not think that it's worth the money.

What do you think of Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum? Will you be trying it?
