Lanolips | 101 Ointment Multipurpose Balm

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you'd know how much I go on about the dryness of my skin and lips. It was my main reason as to why I started reading blogs in the first place because they are so many products out there that advertise that they can do so and so but only through bloggers' recommendations that I find out whether it works or not.

I think a while ago, I've noticed essiebutton (I do mostly listen to her recommendations when it comes to anything with solving dry skin issues) mentioning Lanolips in one of her videos. So, when I was left alone strolling in Boots and I came across Lanolips with an awesome deal (buy one get one free). I decided to get it and wow I'm so glad that I did.

Lanolips | 101 Ointment Multipurpose Balm

Lanolips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Balm is an amazing luxurious creamy ointment made from 100% Ultra Pure Grade Lanolin. If you don't know what Lanolin is, it's basically fatty substance found naturally on sheep's wool aka wool wax. However, Lanolips is completely vegetarian and baby friendly as well as animal cruelty free. It is also unscented which is good because it wouldn't offend anyone.

Lanolips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Balm like the name of the product. It has a thick balmy consistency but it melts when comes in contact with the skin. You can apply it by melting it between your fingers first then smooth it over the lips but I normally just apply it straight from the tube because I hate touching things with my fingers.

The packaging is really cute squeezy tube with their sheep's logo. Although, I don't think that the packaging is lips-friendly but it's fine because the 101 Ointment Multipurpose Balm is targeted for use with other areas of your body as well.

Lanolips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Balm Before and After

I find that Lanolips works great with my lips because it provides me with a good layer of protection for my dry lips. It smooths out the cracks and dry patches and it makes my lips look super plumped up. Since I have been using this at night before I go to bed and then again in the morning when I wake up,  I haven't had any problems with dry lips. It also works amazing under a lipstick because it will make your lips look very glossy.

Would I recommend this? - Hell to the yes, if you have a fellow sufferer of dry flaking lips. Although, please make sure that you are not allergic to Lanolin.

Would I repurchase this? - Yes, in a heartbeat. I would buy their coloured version as well (I have a rose version which I will review at some point).

What is your favourite lip balm?
