Eyes make-up Urban Decay
Urban Decay | Naked 3 Palette23.1.14
Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is possibly the most anticipated palette for me. I think I went through stages of panic and anxiousness over t...
Just look at how beautiful those rose-hued eyeshadows look together! I honestly think that Urban Decay hits the nail on the head when it comes to their target market. They know that we love everything in rose gold. At first, I wasn't that particularly interested in buying another Urban Decay palette because when I bought the Naked2, I was telling myself about how I wouldn't buy anymore eyeshadows...and I thought pink-toned eyeshadows wouldn't suit me or they will make me look like I'm sick (much like all the pink-toned eyeshadows I have ever tried in the past).
Alas, came flushing in the large amount of bloggers and youtubers' swatches (which I tried my best to avoid because I really didn't want to buy it and they made me green with envy because they have the Naked3 in their possession and I didn't). If you couldn't tell, I am definitely one of those people that have to get what they want when they want it (a total only/youngest child syndrome). Anyway, I bought it and I don't even regret it because it's beautiful!
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - Contains 12 never seen before rose-hued shades in matte, pearl and metallic finish. Personally, I like that all the shades in palette are not a repeat from other palette because it makes it much more sense to have Naked 3 as well as a Naked 1 or 2 because they are not the same.
The packaging - Similar to the Naked 2 palette with its strong metal case. Naked 3 has the pretty rose gold shade and the indented wavey pattern. It's very sturdy for travelling because the palette won't accidentally open and get all the eyeshadows smashed. I accidentally dropped this palette on the floor but all the eyeshadows stay in tact.
The extras - Naked 3 comes with dual ended brush and 4 samples of the Urban Decay Primer Potion (Original, Eden, Anti-ageing and Sin). I personally prefer the brush that comes with the Naked 3 palette over the one in the Naked 2 because I find that the bristles are just long enough for it to pick up the right amount of shadows and it's easier to control.
Strange (pale neutral pink matte-satin) - Great for highlighting brow bone/corner of the eyes.
Dust (pale metallic pink shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter) - I find this eyeshadow looks really strange if you go all out and put it all over your lid as it can look 'dusty'. It looks great when using only a little bit in the middle of the lid. It falls out quite a lot.
Burnout (light pinky-peach satin) - Great colour pay off and it feels very smooth
Limit (light dusty rose matte) - Looks mauvey pink, I like to use this to blend out the creases.
Buzz (metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter) - The rosiest shade out of the bunch and one of my favourite too. It feels very smooth and buttery.
Trick (light metallic pinky-copper shimmer with tonal micro-sparkle) - Looks very coppery with golden frost finish.
Nooner (medium pinky-brown matte) - Great for blending out darker smokey eyes.Liar (medium metallic mauve shimmer) - Medium brown with a slightly gray-ish cast.
Factory (pinky-brown satin) - I love using this for everyday smokey eyes. Medium-dark brown with reddish undertones and pearled finish.
Mugshot (metallic taupe shimmer with slight pink shift) - It's a gorgeous medium-dark taupe with a metallic finish
Darkside (deep taupe-mauve satin) - Love this cool-toned mauvey taupe with a pearled finish for smokey eyes look.
Blackheart (smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle) - Black with red micro-shimmer. I haven't had a chance to use this much but it's one of the main reason why I bought this shade.
My most reached for shades - Strange, Limit, Buzz, Factory and Mugshot.
Below are the 3 looks that I have created using this Urban Decay Naked 3 palette.

Would I recommend this palette? - Heck to the yes! All the shades are beautiful and wearable. You can create so many looks with all these shades. I have not regretted spending £37 on this yet. I would buy it again in a heart beat.
Have you bought a Naked 3 palette yet? What is stopping you?
