There is no doubt that Revlon is one of favourite brand, so when I saw a review of this lip gloss over on a blog. I went out and purchase it because I thought that it looks very similar to the very iconic Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's nude glossy lips that I have been after for years!
The packaging for the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Gloss is pretty and simple. Long clear tube with black lid. The quilted pattern on the lid is very Chanel-esque and very similar to the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter (which I love). One word I have for this product is disappointment. I tried to make it work for me because Bellini is such a gorgeous milky peach but it is so hard to apply! I feel like I have to stand in front of the mirror for about 10 minutes to actually get the gloss to go on evenly.
Apart from the being rather difficult to apply. Once the lip gloss is on, I like the formula and how it feels on lips as it feels quite moisturising. Bellini is unlike other lip gloss because it applies semi-opaque (quite similar to the Lip Butter but in a liquid form). I find that this lip gloss is one of those lip gloss that once you applied it, you have to wait a little while for the lip gloss to sink in for it to look good. It is also not very long-lasting (1-2 hours wear time).
Overall, I really like Bellini as a shade and the high-shine finish but I'm not a fan of the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Gloss mainly for their difficult to use brush. Other things I can overlook as Bellini is a gorgeous shade that would be perfect for any smokey eyes look. So, I guess I won't be repurchasing and neither would I recommend it as I'm sure you can find something better.
Have you tried Revlon ColorBurst Lip Gloss before? If so, do you like it?
