After checking my lip products collection, I realised that I'm in fact on a Revlon overload. There is no doubt in my mind that Revlon is my favourite brand for the likes of lipstick, lip gloss, lip butter and lip balms/stains... I have them all!
First, you should know that I'm not familiar with the original Super Lustrous Lipgloss, therefore, I can't compare the formulas. Anyway, this new cylinder tube packaging is something that attracted me as it seems fairly high-end. However, the only tiny problem with this packaging that I find is that it keeps rolling around (making my life fairly hard when I was trying to photograph this). The applicator is a normal doe-foot applicator which I find very easy to use and it applies the lipgloss evenly across my lips. After swatching all the shades they have available in Boots (there are 7 shades available), Kiss Me Coral is probably the most pigmented and the most beautiful shade out of the whole collection. It has a semi-opaque coverage. I would describe Kiss Me Coral as orangey-coral with micro silver shimmer. I think this shade would work very well on all across the skin tone.
Personally, I find this lipgloss to last about 5-6 hours (I set my lips with powder before applying the lipgloss). It is very glossy and moisturising (as in, it doesn't settle into the fine lines). Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss is also one of those lipgloss that provides the glossy shine without the stickiness that is associated with normal lipgloss, which is a plus for me. I find that this lipgloss feels very watery and light on my lips (it reminds me a little bit of L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Stain Splash without the staining effect). Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss is also unscented which would be great for everyone as you can't complain about the scent.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss is perfect for summer as it has SPF15 (although, I'm not quite sure if it has or not, as I checked on Revlon website which says that it contains SPF but after reading a few blogs, a lot seems to mention that it doesn't). You can use it on its own for a sheer look or over lipstick for a more intense look. So far, I have been enjoy using this a lot and I would consider getting a few more shades if it wasn't because I'm going travelling soon and I won't be able to carry all of my make-up with me.
You can pick this up from Boots for £6.99.
What do you think of this? Will you be picking one up?
