Apology for my recent absence, I'm in a little bit of a blogging block. I'm not sure, whether it's because I haven't bought anything new for weeks or what (I'm trying to cut down on my beauty products spending so I can spend more money on travelling). Anyway, a little update on that front, is that I have about one month left in England before I jet off to Barcelona for a couple of days; following by Vitoria-Gasteiz for the next five months. Thus, my blog will follow suit and reflects my journey of my year abroad travelling. So stay tune for more post about travelling, if you like that kind of things.
Enough about me and more on this MAC Brow Set in Beguile which I have been testing out for a couple of months.
After I watched many YouTube videos and reading a lot of blogs, I find myself thinking that I need to buy myself a coloured brow set because I have seen people using it to make their brow look thicker and more define without looking too done up which seems to be the only look that I used to get whilst using powder and pencil. Also, it speeds up my brow process as well which I like.
As for the packaging, it is a very typical MAC packaging which is clear tube with black lid. It is very sturdy and it's nice that you can see exactly how much product you have left.
The brush is on the large side for my brow and I'd prefer it if it was a little bit smaller but it is one of those things that is easy to over look. The brush takes out a little bit too much product but you can just scrape the end off. You can also use it as a mascara as well, although, I haven't tried this because I prefer to have black lashes.
I can't exactly say that my brow is unruly, so I can't say a lot about its ability to tame unruly hair into places but I can say that MAC Brow Set does keep my brow into place with added tint of colour.
I know that I have black hair but when it comes to my brow, I always prefer to use either brown or dark brown to fill it because I find using black a little too harsh looking. Therefore, Beguile seems to be the perfect for me as it is taupey light brown with golden shimmer so it definitely won't make my brow look harsh and drawn on.
Initially, before making a purchase of this MAC Brow Set in Beguile, I was slightly worried about the gold micro shimmer which seems to be rather noticeable in the swatch above. However, my worries were pushed aside when I tested it on my brow because they are nowhere near as noticeable on. You can see it if you were right up in my face but who would do that?
