Hello beautiful!

Apology for my recent absence, I'm in a little bit of a blogging block. I'm not sure, whether it's because I haven't bought anything new for weeks or what (I'm trying to cut down on my beauty products spending so I can spend more money on travelling). Anyway, a little update on that front, is that I have about one month left in England before I jet off to Barcelona for a couple of days; following by Vitoria-Gasteiz for the next five months. Thus, my blog will follow suit and reflects my journey of my year abroad travelling. So stay tune for more post about travelling, if you like that kind of things.

Enough about me and more on this MAC Brow Set in Beguile which I have been testing out for a couple of months.

MAC Brow Set | Beguile

After I watched many YouTube videos and reading a lot of blogs, I find myself thinking that I need to buy myself a coloured brow set because I have seen people using it to make their brow look thicker and more define without looking too done up which seems to be the only look that I used to get whilst using powder and pencil. Also, it speeds up my brow process as well which I like.

As for the packaging, it is a very typical MAC packaging which is clear tube with black lid. It is very sturdy and it's nice that you can see exactly how much product you have left.

The brush is on the large side for my brow and I'd prefer it if it was a little bit smaller but it is one of those things that is easy to over look. The brush takes out a little bit too much product but you can just scrape the end off. You can also use it as a mascara as well, although, I haven't tried this because I prefer to have black lashes.

I can't exactly say that my brow is unruly, so I can't say a lot about its ability to tame unruly hair into places but I can say that MAC Brow Set does keep my brow into place with added tint of colour.

MAC Brow Set | Beguile

I know that I have black hair but when it comes to my brow, I always prefer to use either brown or dark brown to fill it because I find using black a little too harsh looking. Therefore, Beguile seems to be the perfect for me as it is taupey light brown with golden shimmer so it definitely won't make my brow look harsh and drawn on.

Initially, before making a purchase of this MAC Brow Set in Beguile, I was slightly worried about the gold micro shimmer which seems to be rather noticeable in the swatch above. However, my worries were pushed aside when I tested it on my brow because they are nowhere near as noticeable on. You can see it if you were right up in my face but who would do that?

I find that MAC Brow Set in Beguile is better use in conjunction with a brow pencil (if you want a neater looking brow). I normally use Rimmel London Professional Eye Brow Pencil in Dark Brown to light give a shave to my brow before lightly brush MAC Brow Set in Beguile over the top. However, if you are little bit short on time, you can just use it on its own. I would not recommend using this product if you have very thick brow and dislikes shimmer because this Brow Set would make your brow appears thicker and the shimmer might be more noticeable.
I would recommend this if you have thin and sparse brow, like me. Whether this product would be good for you or not is completely depend on how you like your brow as I don't think that it's for everyone. As some people says that Beguile has a bit  red tint on their brow and some complaint that the shimmer is too noticeable. My recommendation would be that you should test it out on your brow in store first as this Brow Set isn't exactly cheap. Having said that I enjoy using MAC Brow Set in Beguile but I don't know if I will be repurchasing it. I would like to know if anyone has found a similar brow set but without the shimmer because I'd be interested in testing that out.
You can get this from Debenhams for £13.00.

  2. This looks great! I've been using Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel over my brow powder and it think it sets and polishes things nicely. There's a bit of shimmer in it as well, but it somehow works! xo
