Hello beautiful!

I have a fantastic news! If you haven't heard this from Twitter (@kahfehyen) or instagram (@wanischaaa). I have recently reached 200 followers! Okay, this might be a fairly small number for many of you but I have worked very hard to get here and it soon to be my first blog anniversary as well. So, it's like a double celebration or triple celebration if you want to count the fact that I just found out that I passed my second year exams! *throws confetti*. So, I shall very soon be hosting a giveaway to celebrate these achievements! However, today I have to share with you my absolute Holy Grail tool!

Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler

Shu Uemura! Ooooh, Shu, where have you been all my life?! Before I encountered this little beauty that is  Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler, the Holy Grail of many ladies, including me! I have never thought that I need to spend a lot of money to get quality and I have stuck with cheap eyelash curler for many years. I've put up with the lack of curl and the occasional nips at my lid. I thought that it was my weird eyes shape or my lack of technique. Eyelash curler just looks like a dangerous contraption, that I never really paid much attention to until I needed to replace my old one. Turns out they make eyelash curler that the curve fits your eyes shape in a way that doesn't nip your skin or cut your lashes.

So, here you see the state of my normal eyelashes. They are short and point downwards. To be quite honest I detest the way my lashes look with they are not curled but I lived with them, thinking well, I can't really change them. Then one day, I saw that Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler was on buyapowa.com. My eyelash curler needed replacing and I was in a mood to buy something, so I bought it. About a week later, it turned up and it changed my life (I'm not being dramatic here). Before this, I can't really experiment with mascara because they really didn't do anything for my lashes at all. Now, I have can try new mascara and actually some differences.

Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler

Here is how my lashes look after it has been curled and a coat of mascara! I think that it makes such a difference to my eyes, they look bigger and brighter! Don't you think?! Not to mention the curl holds all day! When I used to use cheap eyelash curler, the curl used to drooped down after I put on mascara. True that Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler comes at the higher price range at £20 but I believe that it's worth every penny! The curler also comes with a replacement black cushion which I don't think you can buy separately, so you will need to buy a new one every year or so. A bit expensive but with this type of quality, I think I will stick with it for the rest of my life.

You can get Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler from House of FraserShu Uemura Website24K Gold limited edition.

  4. I love this curler. I've had mine for several years. I just switch out the black strip with drug store strips, and they work pretty well. It's not as good, but it's still better than the drugstore curlers. :)

    1. I thought the secret to great curl was in the rubber strip.

    2. I think it's more the combination of both the curler and the actual rubber strip that makes a great curler. For me, I'm using a Revlon strip on the Shu Uemura curler, and that combo does a better job than the Revlon strip on the Revlon curler (which doesn't curl my lashes at all). I'm not sure, but I like to experiment, haha. :)

  10. Your lashes look amazing! I didn't know the importance of getting a high quality curler until recently and now I'm looking to invest in one. I think I'm torn between this one and Chanel's xx

  12. i'm just not a fan at all of eye lash curlers, but i do have fairly long eyelashes so maybe that's why they're not worth it for me x

  13. I've used so much different eyelash curlers over the years. I've been using this brand for the last six months or so and have NEVER been happier with a lash curler.
