I'm back from Paris. It has been way too long since my last post huh? I was totally planning on scheduling a post before I went away but I totally forgot. Oopsie! Anyway, I will be doing a post on that trip a little bit later when I can find a cable to put the pictures on my computer. Along with my French Pharmacies' haul. However, today's post is going to be about another one of my beloved Revlon Lip Butter.
I genuinely think that if you don't have any Revlon lip products in your collection (especially Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and Lip Butter), then you really are missing out. Now is a good time to pick up one or maybe 4 of the limited edition shades (Juicy Papaya, Pink Lemonade, Watermelon and Sorbet). However, I was being very good and only picked one up.
As for the packaging of Revlon Lip Butter, each shade comes with it own colour coordinated lid so it's very easy to distinguish them in your collection, especially if you are a lipstick hoarder like me. I also love the patent pattern of the lid, I find it very Chanel-esque. The lid fits perfectly well too, which means that it won't come undone in your bag and create a disastrous mess.
Juicy Papaya is one of the sheerer lip butter, a bit like Berry Smoothie. So, if you like the sheer lip butter for everyday wear then I think that Juicy Papaya is definitely for you. However, if you prefer one with a more pigmented shade like Lollipop then you will be probably be disappointed in this. I would describe Juicy Papaya as gorgeous peachy shade, perfect for summer. It's very similar to Peach Parfait but without the annoying grittiness of the glitter. Nonetheless, I love Juicy Papaya because it feels light and creamy, although, it settles into the fine lines a little bit at the beginning, but once it has a chance to sink in it looks and feels lovely.
Overall, I find this lip butter extremely moisturising, very shiny and comfortable to wear on a daily basis. On me, I find it lasts about 3-4 hours before having to reapply, although, I don't really like to reapply lip products during the day because I prefer scrubbing it off with sugar scrub and reapplying lip balm instead. A definite recommendation and I will repurchase if I ever run out.
