Hey there!

I feel like it has been a while since I've done a product review. I have been meaning to write a review for this scrub for ages but I kind of forgot about it until I saw the pictures on my computer. There is no doubt that I'm a body scrub and Soap & Glory's fan (among other things). If you have been reading my blog, you might know that I have very very (very!) dry skin, so that's why I actually use body scrub everyday (followed by body butter of course). I know this probably isn't good for your skin but it works for me and I don't like flaky skin.

I first heard about this body scrub via EssieButton (you know that video when at the end she took it out of the fridge and pretends to eat it with a spoon because it smells like Maple Syrup). I can't say that I'm a massive fan of the scent (I prefer fruity scent) but I got used to it. Having said that, I actually really like this body scrub, I find that it's a lot nicer than the Flake Away scrub. This is because Flake Away just made my skin feels oily but at the same time didn't really help with my dry skin.

I find the texture of this body scrub to be very fine (like sand at a nice white beach), so to me it feels like a very gentle body scrub but it works. It washes off nicely, leaving my skin feeling soft, moisturised and flakes free. The only thing that I dislike about this product is the fact that it's in a tub. I mean, do you know how hard it is to scoop this out in the shower without getting any water in it?! Other than that, I think this body scrub is excellent, I would definitely repurchase it if it wasn't for the fact that I have 2 tubs of Sugar Crush and a tube of Pulp Friction to go through (I went body scrub crazy a while ago...). Unlike its name sake, this scrub isn't just for the morning. I think it's named that because it smells a little bit like pancake, banana and maple syrup (NOM!).

That's all from me, if you have tried this body scrub, let me know how you get on! I love reading your opinions and feedback.

    1. It really does, I guess that's why S&G always put on their package that it's not suitable for consumption.

Thank you, I will take a look.

  3. Finally, a review of this scrub! I've only heard about it for ages, but I'm glad to read a more in-depth review of what it's actually like. Looks like I've got another item to add to the old wish list! Not sure why I haven't picked this up yet, to be honest, but the sound of banana, maple syrup and pancakes sounds far too good to pass up! xx
