Hello beauties!

Okay, you have probably heard of Apocalips that have just been launched today. Well, if you haven't, these lip lacquers are like liquid lipstick. They have the consistency of a lip gloss, the pigmentation of a lipstick and no stickiness. All in all, I think Rimmel hits the spot with this launch.

I braved the snow and went into the city today, in the hope of finding these babies. I finally found it in the fourth shop but unluckily for me, Celestial has been completely sold out. Nonetheless, I picked out 3 shades because Boots is currently doing 3 for 2 on the Rimmel range. I brought Nova (light pink), Apocaliptic (bright fuchsia) and Big Bang (red).

The applicator is very impressive and innovative (I haven't seen something like this before) because it has a little well in the middle to collect the product so that there will be enough product to cover your lips after one dip. I also found it useful to turn the applicator over (the side without the well) to line my lips.

I think Rimmel's packaging is amazing for this product because I love the jewel-like end of the applicator holder. I think that it gives a very luxurious feel. The ombre effect packaging which also shows the colour of each shades, is beautiful as well as practical. Furthermore, the tube has a stopper which controls how much products comes out. All very lovely.

Overall, I think is product certainly lives up to its hype and excitement. I love the liquid consistency of Apocalips because as a dried-lips girl, I always experienced difficulty of having lipstick drying out my lips and setting into fine lines. However, I find that Apocalips applied like a dream. They feel very creamy and I love the opaque colours that they give, even with just one layer. I don't find them to be at all drying, even after a few hours of wear and the gloss-effect has worn off. Have I mentioned that I also love the quirky name of Apocalips which is just like apocalypse since it's the end of lipstick as we know it.

I'm definitely will be picking up Celestial when I find it, so that's a definite repurchase from me.

You can get them from Boots or Superdrug for £5.99.
Boots currently have a 3 for 2 offer on.

Have you picked up any Apocalips? Which shade is your favourite?
