Oh my, I can't believe that I just reached 100 followers on both my blog and twitter! Thank you all so much for taking your time to read my babble. Don't forget to enter my Thank You giveaway here. A little while ago, I posted about my mini beauty haul which includes this brow kit and I told you that there was going to be a review coming soon. Well, here it is! I have been looking for something to replace my eyebrow pen that I brought in SASA in Hong Kong last summer because I can't get it here and it would be the death of me if I have nothing to fill my brows. I just love having neat brows. They are the first thing I notice on other people (please tell me I'm not the only one?). I really can not stand it when people have messy and untamed eyebrows, they make me want to take out my tweezers and get plucking. Anyway, this brow kit seems perfect for me because it has everything necessary for neat looking brows, I'm particularly drawn to the brow stencils and the fixing gel.
This kit comes in a box, you know how I love boxes and keep all the packaging of all my products. I don't know why this...but I have a box that keeps the boxes... Anyway, personally I'm not that keen on the Look Beauty packaging or lettering, hence why this is the first product that I actually purchased from this brand. I just think the box is a bit blah (I mean look at the colour of that box!) and the lettering is a wee bit unprofessional looking for my liking.
Now, to the actual packaging, it's black and sleek looking. It's not bad, although, a little hard to open. This kit is a little bit different because of how it opens up because the lid is only attached to one side of base.
Have I told you that there is a secret compartment?! Well, there is! In there are 4 Brow Stencils. I was very excited about these stencils because I really have trouble trying to make both my brows look identical.
The four stencils have different names called Paris, Milan, London and New York. I measured it against my brows and Milan is the closest fit. However, when I tried to use it, it just made my brows look rather weird. So, I probably will just hand drawn my brows from now on. I will try and use the other stencils to see if I look okay with different eyebrows shapes.
These are the swatches of the 4 out 5 shadows on the bottom row. The light shade is pretty good for highlighting the brow bone. They are pretty easy to apply and they are not too powdery, perfect to use on the brows.
The first shade is from the top row is the one that I normally use to fill my brow. The second one is also another good shade for highlighting. I do find the black shade is a little bit pointless for a brow kit because I do find having black eyebrows ridiculous even though I have black hair...so this will be another shadow shade for me.
Sorry, for the lighting change...the light disappeared but here is fixing gel. I find the brush a little bit weird because the shape isn't exactly shaped to brush the brows but I will still use this to keep my brows looking neat.
