There are many reasons why this balm has attracted my attention (apart from me being a lip product junkie). First, it's the cute little vintage packaging and then the multi-purpose of this product (you can use it on lip, face, hand and body). You know how I love my multi-purpose items (a la SteamCream), so I had quite a high hope for this product.
You know how annoying it is when you are out and about and then you notice some dry flaky skin. I really wished I had something like this in my bag then. The size of this balm is very compact and, therefore it's perfect for leaving in your handbag in case of any emergency dryness. Although, I have heard that this product is proned to melting (I have not experienced this because I only just brought it in Autumn). Nonetheless, the texture of this balm reminds me of coconut oil (solid at room temperature but melt into oil-like consistency with a little bit of help from the heat by rubbing). It can feel somewhat gritty at first but it melts nicely onto the skin leaving it feeling moisturised. Having said that, I think that it needs a lot of re-applying especially on the lips (every hour or so). Therefore, it's really a short-term solution product and not something that I would put on overnight to keep my lips moisturised until the morning. It's great for dabbing on your dry patches because it sorted it right out. Figs & Rouge balm comes in a range of scents. I picked the Pomegranate one because I like the green and pink packaging but I'm not quite sure what it smells like. I definitely would repurchase this to keep in my handbag.
Have you tried this before, do you like it?
