For my 21st, I treated myself to quite a lot of presents and well, this is one of them. Honestly, I still can't quite believe that I'm 21, when I was younger, I used to think that 21 is so old and thought that by this time, I'd probably have most of my life planned. However, as it turns out, I haven't got a clue what and where I'm going in life. So before this turn into a depressing post about the future. Let me introduce you to the second MAC lipstick in my collection. Hue!
Honestly, this shade didn't really jump out at me at the beginning. I mean I have seen loads of reviews about it but I thought it was just a little but blah. Anyway, during a shopping trip with my housemate, I dragged her (well, she didn't really need that much persuasion really) to MAC in Nottingham. I swatched a lot of lipstick on my hand and made her pick out a shade that she thinks suit me and she picked Hue! So, if it doesn't suit me. Go and blame her.
The shade is described as soft pale pink and I will give it that. I think it's a gorgeous shade for a softer look. It has just the right amount of pink that it doesn't look too Barbie-ish but at the same time, it's not too nude that you'd look ill.
Hue has glaze finish which I find to be a lot better than frost. I have very very very dry lips. So every times I want to use this lipstick I have to scrub my lips with Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub and apply lip balm before adding lipstick. Otherwise it will clung to my dry patches. It's not as moisturising as Revlon Balm Stains but more moisturising than MAC Costa Chic.
You can get it from here for £14.
