If you didn't know that it was my 21st birthday a little while ago, well, now you do! For this milestone, I decided to buy myself a new purse, as you do. I went into John Lewis, planning on not really getting anything but I was captivated by this beauty (when things sparkle at me, I have to take a look). I um and ah about getting it for a little bit before I um and ah some more as I decide on the colour (as you would, if you were spending that much money on a purse, you'd want to make sure you are completely in love with it before you are committed, after all that purse will be with you for almost every moment of your life, well for a while at least).
My little purse came in a little green box that looks a bit like a postal box which I find super adorable. I'm sure that it's not just me that love getting boxes with purchases because it just makes things about 10 times more luxurious and you can use it as a storage box!
Also, the back of the lid says "Ted always delivers". Again, I find this to be a cute little touch that just make me purchase seems worth it even more. I can just imagine receiving this in the post and how hilarious I would find the little postal box and "Ted always delivers"'s comment.
To tell you the truth, these sparkly little beauties are what really sold me. They are incredibly pretty when they hit the light. I mean I have seen so many people with Ted Baker's purse since I've brought mine but as bias as I am, I have to admit, I have seen a lot of people with Ted Baker's purse but I have yet to see this beautiful purse in anyone else's hands. I am not a massive fan of the one with the normal bows patterns with Ted Baker's initial on top (don't get me wrong, I love bows but I just don't find them to be as special).
In the end, I went with the classic black because black will never go out of fashion and I won't wake up one day and think "why the hell did I just brought that pink purse? I don't even like pink that much". This purse reminds me a little bit of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany as well, I am not sure why but I think it might be because of the similarity between this purse and the iconic dress in that film.
This purse is £65 from John Lewis.
Hope you enjoy this post, I'm trying to make more time for blogging.
