Say hello to my first ever MAC lipstick, I know I'm very late the the party. However, I have my reason, prior to Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, I wasn't very fuss with the whole lipstick things. I have very dry lips so every times I tried using lipstick in the past they just look terrible (lipstick on cracked lips isn't a good look). Something I forgot about since trying Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, which is why I brought this...

I really like how MAC products come in a box because it makes everything more luxurious even though it's a bit of a waste.

The packaging is very sleek (kind of shimmery black in what I would describe as a bullet shaped with silver detailing).

Costa Chic is described as frosty light coral. In some light it looks quite orange and other it looks orangey pink. It has frost finish so it's nice and slightly shimmery.

A little swatch on my hand with flash. The colour is so lovely. Very shiny pink with a little hint of orange throw in.

No flash!
Without flash, it looks slightly different because it looks a lot more creamy.

I'm not sure if it's just me that have this problem with this lipstick. I mean, the colour is great however, when I first applied this on my lips, it gave me a very cracked-lips look even though my lips were fine beforehand. So every times I want to use this lipstick I have to exfoliate my lips, apply lip balm and let it sink before blotting lipstick thinly throughout my lips. I find that if I just smear the lipstick on my lips, it just look too thick, too over done and just way too greasy looking. I still haven't figure out how to reapply this during the day yet because I'm scared of getting the slidey looking lips or lipstick on my teeth (it's so difficult being a girl!).

Overall, I love the colour of this lipstick because when I put it on it brightens up my whole face. This shade might be a summer colour but there is nothing wrong with popping a bit of colour on your face for autumn and winter. Although, I wish that it was a little bit less drying. If I had known that MAC has different finish for their lipstick (I kinda knew but I didn't get it), I'd probably get one with cremesheen finish and not frost. Maybe, my next purchase will be Creme Cup considering it's so popular.
